GET TOGETHER- IN ALL THINGS

GET TOGETHER- IN ALL THINGS
Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Last week was a wonderful week. We had a blessed time serving with Eyes Wide Open Ministry in El Moral Guatemala. Brandi and Daniel McIntyre are doing as close to what the Lord calls us to do as faithful as any ministry that I know.

It was a powerful week as we did a Pastors Conference on Thursday and Friday. We visited and prayed for patients in the hospital in Chiquimula one day. And had the opportunity to visit some people who live in some very difficult circumstances in their homes.

Tyson Holland from here in Hamilton went with me. We began our return home on Saturday. We prayed for our journey every part of it and for every stage of it. By the way I anoint every airplane that I get on and plead the Blood of Jesus over it as well.

Our connection to Birmingham in Miami was for 10:30 P.M. We prayed for our flight that had been delayed in Guatemala to get there on time for us to make the connection. We prayed to get through customs in time to catch our flight. We were running as fast as we could through the Miami airport. It appeared that we would make it on time with about twenty minutes to spare. Then suddenly Tyson saw on the board that our flight had been cancelled. It was cancelled due to the weather in Birmingham.

That night there were many other flights being cancelled as well. J.J. rebooked us on another airline. Jake got us a hotel room . We got about two hours sleep before we got up to catch our flight to Baltimore to make a connection to Birmingham. It was a challenging night in a lot of ways.

As we were on the flight to Baltimore the Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart. He reminded me that Christians throughout the world suffer more daily than the light and momentary trouble that we were experiencing. He reminded me that the Pastors that we had ministered to during the seminar most likely went back to some tougher conditions than we were experiencing and certainly a tougher daily life.

I thought about the Apostle Paul. The man that the Holy Spirit used to write the Book of Romans and about thirteen other epistles. He suffered much. He was imprisoned for the faith. He was in a shipwreck one time and landed on the island of Malta. Paul wrote about his experiences in writing to the church at Corinth: 2Co 11:25-27 “Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.”

The Holy Spirit helped me to be truly thankful that although Saturday night and early Sunday morning had been tough on our already tired bodies that we had much to be thankful for.
We got home last Sunday afternoon and the Holy Spirit emphasized to me don’t let the enemy steal the joy of what we saw God do own our trip. And I am reminded of one of my favorite passages concerning when we go through a challenging time : 2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (NKJV)

We don’t know for certain, but God could have been protecting us, or some of the other passengers from some type danger. He is always looking out for His children. Although we may not get goose bumps when God is working in a situation. I can honestly say that through the thirty-three years that I have been a Christian in some way I have seen God work for the could in the worst situations that that have happened. I don’t believe that He causes the bad stuff. But I praise God that He will work in it.

Let Us Pray
Father, we thank You that You watch over Your children. Father we thank You that there is not a situation, or circumstance that you can’t and won’t work for the good for Your people. No matter what anyone that is reading this is going through I pray that You will work for good in the situation, or circumstance.
In Jesus Name
Amen

Love You All
Thanks for the Happy Anniversaries that you have sent.
