GET TOGETHER- HE DIED FOR ALL
Ro 5:8-10 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Perhaps one of the most challenging things for us in a culture that is so hostile to the Gospel message is how to love people without compromising the truth. I believe that one of the greatest things that we can do is to commit to praying for the unsaved. Jesus loves the unsaved. He loved the unsaved enough to go to the cross and to die for the sins of all who are separated from God.
All of us at one time were not saved. The Bible tells us in Ro 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” I am so thankful for the faithful Christians that prayed for my soul while I was lost and was living in sin.
J.J. and I have a Holy Ghost hit list. We are praying for people that God loves that have not been born again to repent and to come to the cross of Jesus Christ and to be saved. Some of them are people that we know very well. Some of them are people who we disagree with politically. Some are people that we agree with politically, but to our knowledge have not come to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Some of them are prominent people that have lots of money who oppose the Gospel. Some of them are poor people that addictions have taken control of their lives. All of these are people that Jesus went to the cross and died for. We are told how much that God loves all people in Joh 3:16,17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
It is God’s desire for all people to repent of their sin and to be saved : 2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.(NKJV) How about you ? Do you have a Holy Ghost hit list? Most likely while you and I were dead in our trespasses and sin we were on somebody’s Holy Ghost hit list. Or perhaps you are reading this and you have never put your faith in the shed Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to save you from your sins. Why not today? Then you can come off of someone else’s list and start your own.
Let Us Pray
Lord today we pray that You will lay on our hearts those that You desire for us to pray for to come into Your Kingdom. We pray that You will raise up a group of mighty intercessors that will contend in prayer for the souls of men and women. Lord we pray that any reading this that have not had their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will repent and believe today.
In Jesus Name
Amen
Love you all
