GET TOGETHER- ONLY HE GETS THE GLORY

GET TOGETHER- ONLY HE GETS THE GLORY
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images. (NKJV)
I want to thank once again all of you who prayed for the Pastors Seminar last week in Guatemala. Without the prayers of faithful people like you this mission would not have accomplished what God desired to be accomplished. You encouraged us so much with your prayers and words of edification.
One thing that I do want to say is that only God can get the glory for what took place there. Only God can get the glory for the favor that we had in airports and the protection that He gave to us as we traveled the roads from Guatemala City to Eyes Wide Open Ministries in El Moral just outside of Chiquimula.
We sent back pictures as a means of encouragement to all of you who were praying for us. We also wanted to let people see how that God is using Daniel and Brandi McIntyre and the team of Eyes Wide Open Ministries to advance the Kingdom of God in Guatemala.
Without Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit we can do nothing. Jesus said it this way Joh 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (NKJV)
When we sent out the prayer requests on Wednesday concerning the Pastors calling and saying that they were not coming because of the protests and the possibility of the roads being closed God answered your prayers and we had a great turnout and the Holy Spirit showed up in a wonderful way.
I am thankful that the church is a place that we can bring our deepest burdens to. But it is also a place where we can share the praise reports for the glory of God. When we give praise reports it is an encouragement to those who are praying in the church. We are told in Re 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”(NKJV) When we testify of how the Lord has worked in a wonderful way it is a prophetic encouragement that God will come through for others who labor in prayer.
A wise mentor of mine once said that the devil will do enough to discourage God’s people, so we need to encourage one another. With that said any post that I put up at any time, or picture that we posted of what God was doing in Guatemala, or anywhere else that the Lord allows us to minister the only one that can get the Glory is the Lord Jesus Christ.
I know where that I would be without the Lord Jesus Christ. As a former drug user, alcohol abuser, who lived a selfish life of gross sin. I would be dead and in Hell. May any post, or pictures of what God has done and is doing be an encouragement to those who witnessed to us when we were lost. May it be an encouragement to those such as our Pastors Mike and Pam Irons when we first got saved and the church that we were sent out from. Who early in our journey trusted us to teach Sunday School, or to work with youth. May it encourage the three men who came to my house and witnessed to me one night when I was by myself doing drugs, drinking, listening to music and wallowing in self-pity. There are too many to name here that God has used in our lives. I could spend hours doing it and still leave someone out.
May those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior be drawn to the cross where He makes all things new. He loves to dress up what we have messed up.
May all of us do everything that we do heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men. But on the other Hand, may we share the Praise Reports of the great things that God has done and is doing! I think these words from the Apostle Paul sum up what I am trying to say here in Col 2:2 Paul writes “ that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.”(NKJV)

Let Us Pray
Lord Jesus, we thank You that we can share the praise reports of the great things that You have done. May we always let people know that it is only through You that we can see great eternal things happen in our lives and in the lives of others. On the other hand, Lord, we thank You that You would allow us partner with You in advancing the Kingdom of God upon the earth.
In Jesus Name
AMEN!!
PS it was a great blessing to have Brother Bill Hubbell from Florence with me on the trip. It was a blessing as always to get to be with Daniel and Brandi McIntyre and their family. It was a blessing to see Brother Esau and Sister Sonia from El Moral. It was also a blessing to meet a committed servant in Kenny Southerland. It was also a big blessing to get that welcome home kiss from J.J. Saturday night!

Love you all!
