GET TOGETHER- WE FIGHT DIFFERENTLY

2Co 10:4,5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ

There is no doubt that there has never been a time in the history of the United States where there has been greater hostility toward the true Christian faith than there is now. There are many voices that are under the influences of demonic powers that would love to silence Christians and remove any influence that we may have from the culture.
These voices come with various weapons such as intimidation, slander, character assassination in what amounts to as witchcraft. Then the enemy comes at us and tempts us to try to pick up those same ungodly weapons as we contend for the faith. But there is Good News for us who are believers and followers of Jesus Christ we don’t have to use those weapons! Those weapons are carnal. Isn’t it wonderful that the early church didn’t have to use those weapons against Saul of Tarsus? He became the Apostle Paul and God used him in a mighty way, and is still using him today. God loves to turn His enemies into friends.
We have a mighty weapon in prayer. The Bible tells us in Jas 5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
(NKJV). Start praying for those corporate leaders that want to shut down the truth of the Gospel. Start praying for those political leaders who push and promote ungodly agendas.
We have a mighty weapon in fasting. Jesus taught that mighty things can happen through fasting : Mt 17:21 “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
We have a mighty weapon in praise. It worked for Paul and Silas Ac 16:25,26 ¶ But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.
We have a mighty weapon in love. Those who want to shut down the truth need to know what true love is and not the counterfeit. Lu 6:27,28 ¶ “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, “bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
It worked for the early church. Romans who hated Christians were converted. As I mentioned earlier a religious Pharisee named Saul of Tarsus became the Apostle Paul. Can you imagine the potential in some of the enemies of the church in our country to be faithful people of God with the commitment that they have to the false gods of this world. Our Lord can do it. Don’t let the devil draw you into fighting a spiritual war with carnal weapons. the Holy Spirit will guide us in how to use the spiritual weapons that God has given us.
LET US PRAY
Lord Jesus we know that we are in a battle. But we know that we don’t battle against flesh and blood. We thank You that You have given us authority to trample on scorpions, and snakes and all the works of the enemy. Help us to walk in victory in order not to beat people, but to win people to the cross of Jesus Christ.
